Church Observes Its Centennial in Monticello
St John’s church in Monticello celebrated its 100th anniversary with a two day observance. Prominent clergy including Bishop Burch and Dean Grosvenor attended the Saturday Holy Communion and confirmation. A parish dinner followed with speeches, and Sunday featured a high sermon by Rev. Grosvenor and an evening Masonic guest service led by Rector Reid. Bishop Burch could not stay for the Masonic service due to another centenary on Staten Island.
