Eleanor TenBroeck of 4 Little Avenue has word her son, Sergeant Howard R. TenBroeck, of the 28th Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, was wounded in action on March 15 in France. Wounds reported as four places from shell fragments. writing home three days later from an American Red Cross Hospital. He has served over three years, including time in Panama and in France. He is 28, and his mother is former Miss Eleanor Madden of Middletown.

Highland Falls June 10 A man was shot during a raid on bootleggers selling liquor to soldiers at West Point. Six women were arrested by State Constabulary troopers led by Lieut. John Walton. Two women, Martha Johnson and Va Burke, face charges for selling liquor to soldiers. three others were fined for disorderly conduct. remaining suspects await Federal arraignment. A man wounded in the leg was taken to West Point Military Academy hospital. Police recovered beer and whiskey as raids closed other suspected places.

Beautifully engrossed resolutions bound in leather were presented to George H. Decker by the First Congregational Church and Sunday School on Sunday morning in recognition of more than 50 years teaching a Sunday school class. Rev. Dr. O. B. Swift presented them. Furious Night Fighting Across Front Near Paris
On June 10 the German assault from Montdidier to Noyon pressed with heavy violence. French and American troops held and retook ground in places, taking prisoners while reporting very high German losses. Pershing noted heavy enemy repulses and artillery duels around Chateau Thierry.
