A man shot by a Seventy first Regiment guard near the Otisville tunnel remains unidentified. Coroner Rackett says the body, at the morgue, shows brown eyes and hair, 5 feet 11, 150 pounds, wearing blue striped suit, gray flannel shirt, worn shoes, no undergarments, with tattoos. If ID fails, Navy Department may be asked to help. The guard is held at the Armory pending investigation. Colonel Bates discussed stopping Erie trains at the tunnel to prevent casualties. Erie officials to reply within days.

Registration Day Parade Prep Under Way with Chief Higham
Preparations for the Registration Day parade are nearly complete with Chief Higham set to sound the 222 fire alarm at 2 30 pm to marshal units and 3 pm for the march. Officials plan to review from St Paul’s M E Church and Hay es Field will host speeches, a concert, and a patriotic chorus led by Tremper after the parade. Several bands will perform on West Main Street prior to the march and a balcony concert is offered by the Separate Company Band at the Commercial House.

Battle Between British Ship Neilrose and German U-boat
