Wil Wan Cornelius played violin. EB C Vollmer clarinet. Paul Flory ran the balopticon. Screen scenes of Christ’s life accompanied the carols, including The Star Spangled Banner. The program featured several selections and an enco red performance by Mrs Harman. The Holmes Music Company donated the piano, the city provided hall use, and the Federation of Women’s Clubs owns the balcony.

In a grand harbor review, Arizona led ten great battleships under Admiral Mayo, greeted by Secretary Daniels and crowds along the waterfront. The fleet then moved up the Hudson to anchor between 59th and 125th streets. Separately, the British liner Saxonia arrived from Liverpool with about 1,400 sick and wounded officers and men aboard, many surgical cases.

Port Jervis reports Ernest Drew, activity: attempted to kill Mamie Haugh, widow, at 5 25 Orchard Street, then shot himself in the temple, dying immediately. Charles Hasbrouck of Fulton Street was arrested on dry conduct charges after his father William G. Hasbrouck reported threats to cut his head off with a razor while intoxicated. He appeared at his home Tuesday. Recorder Start led him to arrest and granted a suspended sentence for one year with a warning not to reoffend. Officers Percival Bennett made the arrest.
