Orange County Trust Company and Merchants National Bank issued checks this week totaling 70 603 75 to about 2288 members as Christmas funds saved during the year. Orange County Trust reports 87 192 28 distributed to 1500 people, 54 506 2 more than last year, while Merchants Bank paid 39 417 50 to about 185 people, roughly the same as last year. Clubs will start December 13, with hopes for larger future totals as savings habits grow.
