Candidates In Ohio Get Outside Help From National Parties

Ohio candidates in November campaigns seek national party support in a rare setting as national issues loom. Democrats push Johnson policies and aim to retain margins. Republicans seek to rebuff those policies and pick up seats in new districts. Visits by Johnson, Humphrey, Kennedy and Nixon targeted three key districts. Nixon spoke in Columbus and Cincinnati. Humphrey in Cleveland. Kennedy in Ohio as part of efforts by both parties to influence contests in newly drawn districts.
