Three Middletown Residents Charged in Infant Death Case
Three Middletown residents face neglect charges after the death of four month old Susan Rhodus from malnutrition and the exposure of four other malnourished children. Ula Rhodus and sister Lee Keith are jailed on bonds, while William Rhodus is free on 2500 dollars bond. Judge Oscar Leiser will hear evidence next week. The family included Lanna Sue and Stanley Keith in hospital care as pediatricians warn life may not be saved for Lanna Sue though others show serious weight loss. The Rhodus man earned over 100 dollars weekly and was allowed to bond to support the children under court supervision.
