A 28-year-old Cincinnati man named James Thomas Curtis was found guilty of two counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated robbery for the death and rape of 18 year old Suzanne Candler in Lima Ohio. The judge ordered three psychiatrists to examine him prior to sentencing. Miss Candler’s body was found May 14 in a brushy area off Interstate 75.
Robert Tullio, a 23 year old musician nicknamed a Bicentennial runner, plans a cross country trek starting Saturday to break the continent on foot. His supporter John Lees of Brighton England previously set a 53 day 12 hour record from Los Angeles to New York in 1972.
