Lake Study Next Step Sewer Grant Delayed
The city advances two major projects with delays. A feasibility study will test a riverfront lake on the Great Miami River while a federal grant for the East End sanitary sewer project is postponed until July 1964. Officials from ONE-State and the Miami Conservancy District toured downtown, citing flood control and river pollution as concerns. City leaders plan to proceed with sewer work by year’s end, with or without the grant.
