Cambridge City mobilizes in hunt for IU coed killer
The Cambridge City community, which aided a nationwide search for Ann Louise Harmeier, plans to extend its efforts to assist authorities in finding her killer after the 20 year old Indiana University student was identified in a Martinsville cornfield. A pathologist said she was strangled with a shoestring and sexually assaulted. A Texas suspect is being sought as police hold evidence from the scene.

Ex-cops indicted again in Campos Torres case in Texas
Mexican-American leaders say they are gratified by the second indictment of two former policemen linked to the Campos Torres death. A federal grand jury charged four officers with conspiring to violate the victim Jose Campos Torres civil rights and with injuring or intimidating him. An unindicted co conspirator was named, while another was charged separately with conspiring to conceal the incident.
