Tanker Derailment Stalls Traffic Near West Middletown
A southbound Baltimore and Ohio freight train derailed a tanker car at Ohio 122 and Trenton Franklin Road in West Middletown causing hours of traffic delay. No injuries reported. deputies say the tanker carried sulfuric acid but did not overturn. The 83-car train was traveling from Toledo to Cincinnati.

Somers Township Cemetery Levy Plans On Ballot
Camden Somers Township voters will decide on November 2 the renewal six tenths mill levy and a four tenths mill additional levy for cemetery maintenance. The two levies would raise about 14971 dollars annually for five years while funding road improvements and new sections. Township Trustee Earl Stanley says the funds will surface and upgrade roads and expand cemetery capacity.
