The Commerce Department reports GNP rose at a 10.4 percent annual rate in Q3, with a 3.6 percent real growth and 6.7 percent inflation. Economists had targeted about four percent growth excluding inflation.
Federal grants totaling 137,843 were awarded to Cuyahoga County and the City of Cleveland to plan and coordinate services for the elderly. Dr. Kenneth Gaver, Ohio mental health director, said funds will target aged residents in the city and county.
