Finland Still Paying Its Debts To Hoover Honors Bond
Finland continues to honor its debt of gratitude to Herbert Hoover for relief during 1918 19 and after. Urho Kekkonen visited Hoover in New York to express appreciation and mark ongoing payments scheduled through 1981. The Hoover loan funded aid and scholarships while Finland repays about 150 million dollars for later improvements.
