World faith representatives from Islam Buddhism Hinduism Christianity and Judaism join UN Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim in what is described as the first international religious meeting at the United Nations. Organizers say political leaders feel bankruptcy and seek a unifying spiritual approach to global crises.
