Governor backs farm land tax break in Ohio ballot
Gov. John J. Gilligan endorsed Issue No. 1 on the November ballot to tax Ohio farmlands by use value rather than market value. He said rising urban growth pushes up land costs harming family farmers and that the measure would help them remain in farming.
