Truck Fire Halts Turnpike Traffic Near Belleview

Westbound lanes on the Ohio Turnpike north of Belleview were blocked for 45 minutes after a semi overturned and burst into flames. The driver, Ronald H. Teufel of Middletown Pennsylvania, suffered second and third degree burns and was hospitalized in Toledo. Aluminum coils fed the blaze, melting the roadway where the rig burned.

Major downtown fire in Richmond causes up to 2 million damage

A Sunday blaze tore through five downtown Richmond buildings, with damage estimated between 1.5 and 2 million dollars. About 70 firefighters from Richmond and six nearby communities fought the flames for over three hours, evacuating an entire city block as several structures were left “almost completely destroyed.”
