Four charged in Holiday Inn holdup in Franklin
Franklin Municipal Court set bonds for four men arrested after an armed robbery at the Holiday Inn on I-75 and Ohio 122. Kerry Martin and Anthony Blake face armed robbery and auto theft charges with bonds up to 15,000 each. Carl Taylor and Gary Barker face armed robbery and related charges with bonds of 7,500 and 15,000 respectively. Blake, Barker, and Taylor await preliminary hearings in Franklin Court Monday. Martin Friday.

Mosler workers ordered back to work after union hearing
After a four hour Butler County hearing, Safe Workers Organization Chapter 2 leader Curt Ballinger ordered 800 Mosler Safe Co. employees to return to work by Monday. The court’s restraining order had accused union officials of contempt for defying a prior order to end the strike begun Wednesday.

Four Area Women Receive Nurses Caps at Mercy Hospital
Four of 57 students completed five weeks of practical nursing training in the Hamilton Program and received nurses caps in a Mercy Hospital ceremony. LPN graduates are due next July and may begin hospital floor clinical work immediately. The class adviser Brenda Neal notes the capping marks the start of clinical training for the group.
