Columbus doctors report a new technique delivering methotrexate directly into the brain cavity increases survival for children with brain tumors. About one third of 50 treated patients survive, with average survival roughly double that of surgery and radiation alone.

Delegates Named for State K of C Social Action Conference
Mr and Mrs Arthur Car Tigan of 7179 Trenton Franklin Road and Mr and Mrs Richard Oswald of 409 Baltimore St will represent local Knights of Columbus Council 1610 as delegates to the state conference on social action leadership in Nationwide Inn Columbus on October 19. The event is the third in a seminar series started last year by the state K of C Council. A total of 23 local councils will be represented at the Columbus meeting with Rocco A Veneziano of Wooster in charge.
