Verdict Favors Market In Middletown Suit
An eight member Butler County Common Pleas jury ruled for Shaddock Markets Inc in a 52129.99 damage suit filed by Mr. and Mrs. Keith Abney over injuries Mrs. Abney suffered December 4 1968 when she tripped at the store sidewalk to the parking lot alleging obstruction from merchandise and cars. A stray note about Loch Ness appears as a non sequitur.

Leukemia vaccine considered as possible preventive tool
A Chicago research team led by Dr Sol Roy Rosenthal proposes that the BCG tuberculosis vaccine be seriously considered as a vaccine against acute leukemia. The study reviews leukemia death rates from 1964 to 1969 among black children in Chicago who were vaccinated at birth versus those not vaccinated, finding a statistically significant lower death rate in the vaccinated group though noting the need for long term controlled trials.
