Denver refinery explosion sends flames and fear across suburb
Unconfirmed reports say up to 30 injuries at a Denver area refinery in Commerce City. Blasts unleashed thick smoke and orange fireballs, breaking windows up to two miles away. Evacuations began after 6:35 a.m. as a chlorine storage tank was blown in the latest blast. I-270 and Colorado 85 were closed. Conoco spokesman commented from downtown Denver.
