Bonds Voted for Land Purchases and Streets Upgrade
City Commissioners approved legislation authorizing 96000 in bonds to liquidate notes for two land purchases for park and street improvements. The plan covers about 20 miles of streets and includes new land on Elmo Place and West Central Avenue for project extensions. Emergency equipment plans and traffic light trials were discussed, with praise for staff and a note of League of Women Voters support for City Manager Starick. Seventeen deeds filed for water works improvements and the new land parcels.
