Leaflet Shot A Dad Missed White House
A homemade mortar aimed at the White House exploded in a toolshed several hundred feet away. The device carried anti Communist leaflets signed by the secretive Minutemen group and could have reached the White House grounds if not for the initial blast. Police traced the launcher to a trash can near 15th Street and Constitution Avenue.
