Lou Pride Hospitalized After Lucerne Heart Attack
American blues singer Lou Pride, 54, was hospitalized in stable condition after a heart attack during the Lucerne Blues Festival in Lucerne Switzerland. Organizers said he would return to the United States soon and withdraw from the festival, which marked its tenth anniversary and drew about 9 000 fans. Pride is known for albums such as Very Special (1979) and I Won’t Give Up (2000).

Director wins slander lawsuit in Podgorica

Guthrie Theater executive to lead New York Broadway venue
Mary Ann Ehlschlager, associate manager at the Guthrie Theater, will leave Minneapolis for a Broadway theater post in New York City. Her last day is Tuesday as the $150 million Guthrie project by Jean Nouvel nears completion for 2006 opening. she will helm Studio 54, now a Roundabout Broadway playhouse, starting December 1.
