Municipal income tax reform push gains regional support
Trenton Mayor Ron Specht says he is pleased with the reaction as a coalition of small Ohio cities pushes to reform municipal income tax. The Perrysburg Plan seeks a fairer share of local tax revenues and House Bill 781 is now sponsored in the General Assembly by Rep. Bob McEwen. Fourteen area communities met in Monroe at the Congress Inn to discuss proposals, with only Sharonville and Woodlawn opposing according to Specht.
