Atomic Power In Homes Conceivable In 3 Years
Former AEC chief Dr Lawrence Hafstad said American homes could use electricity from atomic power plants within three or four years. He noted four to five U S utility companies are building commercial reactors as experts warn there is no real danger from lingering radiation after a bomb explosion and that uranium concentrates offered to Japan carry no weapon-use clause. The group predicts a new atomic era, with the U S pushing its arrival by sharing nuclear advances.
