Extension Of Franklin Sewer Line Halted In City
Franklin council voted to halt the sewer line extension north of the city on U S 25 noting unserved property will not incur assessments. The motion ends debate spurred by Robert Fouts who said the line would not serve a motel restaurant and 13 to 22 homes in his subdivision. Fouts may use his current sewerage. a pump station would be needed for city sewer connection. Ivan Thacker questioned annexation without profile maps and suggested future subdivision lots bear extension costs. The project total was set at 24000 with a 5500 contract for mercury vapor street lights.
