Scarce funds strain Warren County cruiser as repairs lag
Warren County Sheriff Byron Kennard told commissioners another patrol car has broken down leaving three for department use. They await a court order to raise 11,000 for the probate and juvenile courts while pledging no extra money for the sidelined cruiser. Kennard reported only 3,700 left in the car fund for fuel and maintenance and said patrols and investigations have been slashed. Commissioners passed a TB hospital administration protest resolution and forwarded it to state leaders.
