Dillard Aims to Break U S Track Streak in Miami Meet
CLEVELAND AP The goal to win the nations longest streak of victories belongs to Harrison Dillard who, his coach predicts, will tie Greg Rice in the 100 yard dash and likely break his hurdle records at the Miami University meet in Oxford Ohio Saturday. Dillard paced Baldwin Wallace with times of 14.1 in high hurdles 9.8 in the 100 yard dash and 21.2 in the 220 yard dash. Coach Ernie Finnegan praised the two year string of 64 indoor victories and said Dillard ran as fast as possible, driven by competitors. He expects Dillard to equal Rice in the 100 yard dash and crack the records in highs and lows.
