Cincinnati Zoo animals bring home pride and cubs
Nancy Maruska, wife of Cincinnati Zoo director Ed Maruska, often acts as a foster mother to zoo animal babies. She bottles milk in restaurants and keeps wildlife at home until the cubs are ready to return to the zoo. She notes tiger cubs as her toughest challenge and stresses letting animals become what they are.
