Ecology drive blamed for energy depletions
Mark Kloeker of Cincinnati Gas & Electric told Middletown developers that the ecology movement helps drive the energy crisis. Clean air rules shift industry from coal to natural gas, causing shortages and stalled gas hookups. He cites a $5 million cooling tower delay at Moscow’s atomic plant and offshore drilling, pipeline delays, and a 100 year oil gas reserve outlook amid a 3–4 year belt tightening.
