YMCA Charged With Racial Discrimination in Columbia
The Justice Department filed civil rights papers in District Court at Columbia South Carolina charging the Columbia YMCA with unlawfully discriminating against Negroes by refusing to rent rooms. It seeks an injunction to end the practice and says this is the first such YMCA discrimination case.
