Razing of buildings temporarily halted in Lancaster
Five structures at Fairfield School for Boys in Lancaster faced demolition after Rep. Don S. Maddux efforts. The Ohio Controlling Board blocked a 54000 demolition contract for an unused Old North School, a horse barn, and three vacated cottages, delaying action though not stopping the razing plan. The project will now go to bid via the public works department, prolonging the process and adding costs.
