Cloudy skies and mid-30s lows are forecast for Middletown tonight with fair skies and 50s tomorrow. Yesterday's high was 39 and overnight low 37 with 36 inch rain recorded. Extended outlook shows 50s highs and 30s lows Thursday to Saturday with a chance of showers Friday.

An 18 year old Japanese hijacker seized a Japan Airlines jumbo jet with 426 aboard but was captured after seven hours at Naha airport Okinawa. Police in disguise brought food to the cockpit and seized the youth who acted alone leaving 264 hostages still aboard.
Two minor earthquakes struck downtown Los Angeles early today, causing no damage and drawing little attention. A Caltech Seismological Lab spokesman said the first quake measured 3.0 at 12 33 am PDT, followed by a 2.5 five minutes later. A deputy reported a rolling tremor with no damage.
