Drowning at Hutchinson Station Dam Claims Two Youths

Kevin Miller a 19 year old Madison Township resident and Michael Lewis an 18 year old Dayton youth faced a fatal incident when a plastic raft went over a dam in the Great Miami River south of Miamisburg. Firefighters struggled in a dramatic rescue as four were saved and a fire fighter was presumed drowned.

Rescuer Jim Kirby Saves Four In Fatal Great Miami River Rescue

Outdoors columnist Jim Kirby described rescuing four men from the swift Great Miami River as two others drowned.
