Middletown School Levy Hikes Half of Last Year's Plan
Middletown voters will decide on a 2 to 2.8 mill operating levy in November, about half the 5 mill proposal defeated last year. If approved, it would raise roughly $1.4 million for next year to fund salaries, with no repairs or inflation-cost funding. The board must schedule the measure by Aug. 6 and faces a tough campaign amid upcoming board elections.
