James Brenson Jr., 15, convicted of first degree murder for the Sept. 25 slaying of 67-year-old Thomas Crossen during a Robbery at a Toledo grocery store. Sentencing delayed as defense seeks new trial. judges urge mercy, but life sentence mandatory. Brenson was 14 at the time of the crime and faced one of Ohio’s youngest capital trials.
