Two Ohio lawmakers resign from practicing law in Ohio
A former Hamilton County Municipal Court judge Paul Gilday and former assistant prosecutor Arthur C. Plate have both petitioned the Ohio Supreme Court to resign from the practice of law. Gilday's request was granted Monday and Plate's on April 10. Neither may practice law again in Ohio. Gilday, 47, was previously investigated by the Cincinnati Bar Association in 1971 and later became a land developer consultant. Plate left the prosecutor's staff after involvement with a Newport Kentucky liquor store tied to Ohio Liquor Control probes.
