Yankee Gunboats Blast Red Mekong Delta Base

A task force of armored gunboats helicopter gunships and South Vietnamese marines raided a Viet Cong base camp in the Mekong Delta. Reports say about 90 enemy killed, 62 weapons and 12,000 rounds captured. Allied casualties were two South Vietnamese wounded. The assault targeted a Cai Lon River area 92 miles southwest of Saigon.
