Range fire near Entiat edging toward containment
A sprawling range fire near the Columbia River has burned 3800 acres of grass and brush in Chelan County, with the Forest Service saying containment is likely only after further work on a craggy northeast river corner. No homes or injuries reported. several outbuildings lost. Fire began Saturday in Crumb Canyon, six miles west of Entiat. about half the area is federal land and the rest private.
