Children learn to swim under gentle coaxing at Sunset Pool
In a two week session at Sunset Pool, children under seven learn about water with parental help. A 10 month old floats with mom, while a 4 year old shouts after a plunge. Instructor Tom Heckard notes the aim is comfort and safety, not forcing kids in. The program welcomes under three this year with coaction from supervising mothers.
