Middletown Summer Theatre Delivers Applause Musical Direction
The Middletown Summer Theatre presents Applause directed by Jim Butch with outstanding musical direction by Robert Mucha. The chorus and orchestra shine though some leading ladies strain in chest voices. Stephanie Harrison and Kim Hasemeier show mixed success as Eve and Margo. The ensemble and cast energy, choreography by Virginia Westlund, and sharp production numbers lift the show despite script challenges. The musical runs tonight through Sunday at 8 PM.
