FCC gas order raises questions for city supplies
Arch Robison of the Gas and Electric Service says the impact of the FCC cutback on daily gas deliveries to the Ohio Fuel Gas Company is unclear. The agency mandated a 25 million cubic feet per day reduction from the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline and other sources to build reserves ahead of severe winter demand. A Texas Gas Corp pipeline project, costing 79.3 million dollars, will add 275 million cu ft daily to the system and is expected to operate partially by winter 1949-50 and fully by June 1950, supplying Cincinnati, Middletown, and other utilities.
