In London AP reports Occidental Petroleum signed a five year renewable deal to supply scientific and technical services to the Soviet Union. The contract valued by informants at up to 3 billion dollars covers oil and gas exploration and use as well as fertilizer metal treatment hotel construction and solid waste use. It establishes joint committees and mutual patent protections with potential payment in crude oil and gas.
