New Dental Exhibit Opens at California Museum of Science
A ten section permanent exhibit at the California Museum of Science and Industry in Los Angeles centers on teeth. The Big Mouth Preventive Dentistry Theater features lighted tooth facsimiles, slides, and a tongue rug. It contrasts healthy and diseased teeth, explains care and diet, and shows proper bite. A 12 foot fluoridation fountain and a child friendly dentist chair with giant teeth are featured, along with bacteria magnified for viewers. The Southern California Dental Association developed the display to promote oral health.
