Soviet hijackers surrender in Finland
Two Soviet skyjackers, Alexander Zabrinjak aged 19 and Gennady Seluzhko aged 22, surrendered to Finnish authorities in Helsinki ending a second hijacking of a Soviet airliner to Scandinavia within six weeks. They will be extradited to the Soviet Union under a 1974 antihijacking treaty. If convicted in the USSR they face 3 to 15 years in prison.

Hijackers surrender after peaceful negotiations
