Ohio bill on private insurers stalls in subcommittee
Despite tax talk in the Ohio General Assembly the workmen's compensation bill allowing private insurers to sell coverage has not met in three weeks. Rep. Lampson said no plans to convene the subcommittee and suggested the measure's end may be near as sponsors lack votes. The bill would let counties levy taxes and permit private programs, drawing opposition from labor groups.
