Gallup finds 71 per cent of those polled believe Nixon was involved in Watergate bugging or cover up while 18 per cent say he should resign. The 1,451 adult sample taken June 22 to 25 shows 98 per cent aware of the scandal, with eight per cent saying he planned the bugging from the start and 36 per cent asserting he took part in the cover up.
