Barn Raising-Inspired Family Room Project By Baumgartners
A home remodeling turned into a neighborhood barn raising as Gary and Donna Baumgartner expanded their Wilshire Drive house with wood from three barns. The 15 by 32 foot room features rough beams, a cathedral ceiling, tin lighting, and a bar created from an oak slab. Their Wauseon farm roots show in the rustic basement and toy storage, with help from neighbor Jim Woodrome and family.
