Car Thrown Into Klan Rally in Plains Injures Dozen

In Plains Georgia a driver smashed a small foreign car into a Ku Klux Klan rally crowd by the speaker’s platform injuring at least 12 as police and robed Klansmen seized the driver and halted the car. The rally at the Plains water tower drew about 250 bystanders and featured banners and cross burnings.

Brave 15 year old outwits kidnapper in Florida

In Sarasota a 15 year old girl endured 53 hours bound and abused before loosening bonds when her kidnapper Bannister left to buy gas. She called her father, who told her to escape, triggering a police lockdown and arrest. Bannister, 33, faces kidnaping and involuntary sexual battery charges with arraignment set for July 11. Charlotte’s minister praised her courage and faith throughout the ordeal.
