Exile on Main St A Stones Review by John Clemens
The Rolling Stones double album Exile on Main Street earns high marks for atmosphere and craft. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards lead a diverse set of tracks blending gospel reggae country and R&B with strong guitar and dense percussion. Guests include Nicky Hopkins Billy Preston and Dr John as the band explores varied styles while maintaining the core Stones groove and Watts steady drumming.
